On August 22, the Jewish children’s summer camp “Shorashim-Caucasus-2013” began work in the Premier Palace hotel in Bakuriani (Georgia)

The “Polina” exhibition hall of the charitable organization Chesed is hosting an exposition titled “From the Hills of Galilee to Kazakhstan, With Love!”, which opened on August 14, 2013. The artist, Tanirbergen Abdeliyev, was born in Kazakhstan and currently resides in Israel.

On August 19, 2013, a meeting took place in Tbilisi between the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) General Council Chairman Josef Zisels and the Georgian Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Levan Kipriani.

On August 17–18, 2013, the second seminar for counselors of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) international and inter-ethnic project “Roots of Tolerance – Caucasus – 2013” took place in Tbilisi. The seminar was led by project coordinator and methodist Miroslav Greenberg (Ukraine).

On August 16, 2013, the eighth Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to Ukraine Geoffrey R. Pyatt made one of his first official visits in this new capacity to the office of the Association of Jewish Communities and Organizations (VAAD) Ukraine and the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC).

The official opening ceremony for the international inter-ethnic children’s camp “Roots of Tolerance” has taken place on August 14, 2013. This is the second camp session in Ukraine, for older children; the session for younger (7-13 years of age) children took place in July.

The international seminar camp “Young Family” took place from July 29 to August 4 on the shores of the Kapchagai dam lake, 100 kilometers from Almaty. The camp was organized by the Mitzvah Association of Jewish Communities and Organizations of Kazakhstan and involved 54 young families - over 160 parents and their children.

July 31 was the opening day for the 20th session of the International Jewish Children’s Camp “Shorashim.”

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) General Council has met the request of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Serbia to join the EAJC.

As last year, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress was one of the main sponsors of the traditional Lviv festival of Klezmer music, LvivKlezFest.
