On May 5-8, a session of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) General Council took place in parallel to the Plenary Assembly of the World Jewish Congress.

On May 7th, participants of the Conference of Young Leaders and Activists of the Jewish Communities of Eurasia, which is taking place in Budapest as part of the events of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) at the same time as the Plenary Assembly of the World Jewish Congress (WJC), have met with the leadership of the WJC. Among those who took part in the meeting were WJC President Ronal Lauder, WJC Secretary General Robert Singer and EAJC President Vadim Shulman.

On May 5-7, the 14 Plenary Assembly of the World Jewish Congress (WJC) took place in Budapest. A representative delegation of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), headed by President Vadim Shulman, Secretary General Michael Chlenov and EAJC General Council Chairman Josef Zisels, took part in the Assembly.

On April 27, Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) General Council member, leader of the EAJC xenophobia monitoring and analysis program Vyacheslav Likhachev spoke at a round table titles “The Role of the State, Political Parties, and Ukrainian Society in Combating Manifestations of Xenophobia, Racial Intolerance and Extremism.”

On April 29, as part of the preparations for the 14th Plenary Assembly of the World Jewish Congress (WJC), which is to take place next week in Budapest, a meeting took place between the Assembly delegates from Ukraine and Russia and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Hungary to Ukraine Mihály Bayer. Among those taking part in the meeting were EAJC General Council Chairman Josef Zisels and EAJC General Council member Vyacheslav Likhachev.

On April 29, Secretary General of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, Vice President of the Federal-Jewish National Cultural Autonomy (FJNCA) Michael Chlenov participated in a round table titled “On the Role of National Cultural Autonomies in the Social and Cultural Adaptation and Intergration of Migrants into Russian Society: Problems and Perspectives.” The discussion was organized by the State Duma Committee on Nationalities.

The XX Session of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan has taken place in Almaty. President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has participated in the anniversary sesion.
