On October 10, 2013, World Jewish Congress Secretary General Robert Singer had a working meeting with EAJC Secretary General Michael Chlenov and EAJC General Council Chairman Josef Zisels.

On October 11, 2013, a meeting took place at the Moscow office of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress between the EAJC Secretary General Michael Chlenov with a group of Israel Defence Forces (IDF) officers, who visited Moscow as part of the Mahut Project.

The third round of negotiations between the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Presidium and the leaders of the largest private bank of Austria (MEINL BANK) on a program to support Jewish community and inter-community programs in Eurasian countries, in many of which the bank has business projects, has concluded last week.

According to the decision of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Presidium, made on September 23, 2013, as part of the “Support for Small Communities” Program, funds have been distributed to the first priority communities and international Jewish organizations that are a part of the EAJC.

There is a tradition, spanning many years now, that the Jews of St. Petersburg gather on the first Sunday of October near the “Fomula of Sorrow” memorial (former Tsarskoye Selo) to honor the memory of their compatriots, who were shot in October 1941 in this small occupied town and its famous parks.

On October 3, 2013, an exhibition of the results from the photo competition “Me and My Community: Jewish Community Through the Eyes of Youth” opened at the exhibition hall of the Almaty chesed. Its opening was timed to the beginning of the II International Jewish Youth Forum.

On October 3, 2013, the II Jewish Youth Forum began work in Kazakhstan. The Forum is dedicated to youth leadership, community building, and project management. 30 young leaders of Jewish communities from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan came to Almaty for a discussion of their vision of the modern Jewish community as well as to present new community projects.

The Congress College business community, acting under the aegis of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, has held a plenary meeting titled “On the partnership between the state and the private enterpreneur, the investment climate, and the state support for enterprises.”
