On December 13, Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) representatives, World Congress of Bukharan Jews, and the Congress of Bukharan Jews of the United States and Canada held negotiations in New York. The negotiations involved support for the Bukharan Jewish community in Uzbekistan in organizing and maintaining a respectable level of religious life.

The Jewish Cultural Educational Foundation, led by EAJC General Council member Elena Berkovich, organized a Chanukah candle-lighting ceremony with the aid of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee.

On December 10, the New York Park Avenue synagogue hosted a reception dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the March on Washington – the high point of the campaign for the right of Soviet Jews to immigrate, which took place in the USA and other countries.

The tiny Jewish community of Burma, an EAJC member community, has gathered over 120 guests for the ceremony of the Chanukah lighting of the candles in Yangon, the capital of Burma.

The last day of Chanukah was celebrated by a reception hosted by Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) Vice President Merab Elashvili. The reception, hosted at the Moscow club hall 'Arena,' celebrated both the last day of Chanukah and the 10th anniversary of Elashvili's corporation “G. M. R. Planet of Hospitality.”

The Congress College Business community, acting under the aegis of the Euro-ASian Jewish Congress, has held an end-of-the-year gala titled “The Great December Cultural-Entertaining Revolution.”
