The Sepher Center for University Teaching of Jewish Civilization, which is a part of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), and the Jewish Studies Department of the Lomonosov Moscow State University have announced a competitive selection of candidates for grants for a study placement at the Jewish Studies department in the 2012/2013 school year.

On October 26, the National University Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA) held a round table titled “Radical Nationalism and Electoral Policy in Today's Ukraine”. The round table was part of the conference “The Electoral Process: Democratic Theory and Ukrainian Reality.” The discussion was initiated by NaUKMA professor, important scholar of the radical right Dr. Andreas Umland.

On October 25, the business community Congress College, acting under the aegis of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, held an event as part of the “Not just through business...” program at the Moscow art gallery Ar Deko. The central part of the event was the report of the EAJC Secretary General, Professor Michael Chlenov, titled “Civilizations, Religions, and Socio-Economical Development.”

The first Georgian International Children's Camp “Roots of Tolerance” (“RoT Caucasus-2012”) will take place on October 31 – November 11. The camp will take place at the “Eurica” hotel of Bakuriani village.

Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Secretary General Michael Chlenov has participated in the Tver festivities dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the local synagogue.

On September 28-30, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Moldova, the Jewish Community of Moldova, and the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies (Director – EAJC General Council Member, Dr. Anatoliy Podolsky), together with the “Holocaust” NGO (Beltsy city) and the “Center for Training and Professional Development (Chisinau) held a seminar for teachers of non-Jewish gymnasiums and lyceums on the EAJC program “Tolerance – Lessons of the Holocaust” (Program Director Dorina Zilbermintz).

On October 3, the Congress College business community, acting under the aegis of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, held a business club meeting titled “Financial Market Development Tendencies.”

A working meeting of the Presidium of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress has taken place.

Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Secretary General Michael Chlenov has taken part in the work of the educational and cultural festival “Limmud Saint-Petersburg – 2012”. The EAJC has supported the “Limmud CIS” project over the years, and professor Chlenov is one of its co-founders.
