The last day of Chanukah was celebrated by a reception hosted by Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) Vice President Merab Elashvili. The reception, hosted at the Moscow club hall 'Arena,' celebrated both the last day of Chanukah and the 10th anniversary of Elashvili's corporation “G. M. R. Planet of Hospitality.”

The guests of honor included Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to the Russian Federation Dorit Golender, EAJC Vice Presidents Mark Shabad and David Jacobashvili, Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Secretary General, and the heads of all of the restaurant chains that are a part of Planet of Hospitality (Sbarro; Vostochniy Bazar; Viajio; Bash na Bash; Mondo Pizza). Planet of Hospitality restaurants are open in 30 cities of Russia, Ukraina, Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic.

In his speech to the gathering, Professor Michael Chlenov stressed the corporation's merits in charity, and decorated the leader of Planet of Hospitality with EAJC's highest award. The EAJC Secretary General concluded his speech with: “It is no coincidence, that the words 'planet' and 'luck' sound the same in Hebrew. So mazal tov – good luck! To you!”
