| Center Sefer opened the annual program Eshnav in Israel |

Center for University Teaching of Jewish Civilization ‘Sefer,’ working under the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) '' (Director - EAJC General Council member Dr. Victoria Mochalova, Chairman of the Academic Council – the EAJC Secretary General Professor Michael Chlenov) opened the annual program ''Eshnav,'' within the framework of which graduate and postgraduate students, and young researchers engaged in Jewish Studies in the FSU are selected by competitive process to be traditionally sent to Israel for a month-long internship. |

The Israeli Cultural Center at the Embassy of the State of Israel in Russia has held a ceremony dedicated to the installation of a memorial plaque to the Hero of the Soviet Union Leonid Buber at the Giv'At Ha'Tashmoshet (Ammunition Hill) National Memorial. |

Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Secretary General Professor Michael Chlenov made a working visit to Petrozavodsk. He visited thr local synagogue and Jewish school, and met with the leaders of the Petrozavodsk Jewish community. |
