On January 13. the road book ''Synagogues of Georgia'' was presented at the Foundation for Jewish Culture and Education. The author of the road book is the director of the foundation, Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Council member Elena Berkovich.

On September 11, representatives of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress participated in parliamentary hearings on ''Ethno-National Policy in Ukraine: Accomplishments and Perspectives,'' which took place in the debating chamber of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The Chairman was Parliament Vice Speaker Nikolai Tomenko.

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Deputy Secretary General, EAJC Representative in Israel Haim Ben-Yakov has taken part in the work of the Knesset Subcommittee for the Relations of Israel with World Jewish Communities.

On January 3, the panel of judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeal (reporting judge Efimova, in the presence of attorney Dovgan I.M. and defense attorney Petr Boyko) has reviewed the appeal of the defense of the co-President of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine Sergei Maximov, who was arrested on December 22, 2011.

It has recently become known that the police have arrested the ex-key shareholder of VAB Bank, Sergei Maximov. It is not currently known which criminal case investigation the arrest is connected to, and there is no official information on what he is being accused of. Informal information seems to indicate that his arrest may be directly connected to business conflicts.

The opening of the Russian representative office of the World Congress of Georgian Jewish Youth (WCGJY) took place in the large prayer hall of the Moscow Bolshaya Bronnaya synagogue. Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Secretary General Michael Chlenov greeted the founders and participants of the WCGJY.

The Moscow Estrada theater has held the opening night of the rock opera “Sulamith – Forever!”, which is an international anti-terroristic project by People's Artists of Russia Mihail Gluz (music) and Mark Rozovsky (libretto).

The exhibition Chernobyl. Expedition to the Lost Land is to take place from December 2011 – to March 2012 on the premises of the Уthnological Collection of the Freiburg Municipal Museum. This international project was made possible due to the cooperation of the exhibition organizers with the Institute of Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Lviv); the Center for Studies of History and Culture of East European Jewry of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Kyiv); and the National Library of Ukraine (Kyiv).
