                  On the 9th of May, a number of Internet news portals, quoting the CHABAD website, reported an anti-Semitic murder in Kyiv. The editorial board of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress website, eajc.org, from the Prosecutor’s office, the SSU (Security Service of Ukraine) and the police, as well as staff of the Jewish public centre and Director of the Yeshiva, there was indeed a murder, however, nothing suggests that the crime was of an anti-Semitic nature.

                  The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), together with the American Joint Jewish Distribution Committee (JDC), and the Jewish Welfate Fund (JWF) Hesed Nachalat Avot Azriel, conducted a celebratory ceremony for the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The main goal of the organizators was to pay tribute to the veterans, and to revere the memory of those who lost their lives in the war.

                  On the 2-4 of May, 2010, the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies (UCHS) (director - Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) General Council member Dr. Anatoliy Podolsky), with the support of the USA Embassy Democracy Support Fund and the EAJC held the X Pan-Ukrainian competition of student research and creative works "History and Lessons of the Holocaust." The opening of the competition took place in the I. Kuras Institute for Political and Ethnic Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

                  On the 4th of May, a Tree of Peace was planted in memory of the Heroes of the Resistance, Soldiers of Liberation, and the Righteous Gentiles in the Moscow Educational Center N1311 "Thiya." The planting was a part of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress project "Garden of Peace."
