June 10. Julius Meinl, President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, sent a congratulatory letter to Reuven Rivlin, elected the 10th President of the State of Israel. The message says:

“Allow me, on behalf of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress and the Jewish communities of the two continents to congratulate you on your election. Visionary choice, made by the Israelis, is approved by the majority of the Diaspora Jews.

Your vast political experience and high moral authority is a pledge that the institute of Israeli Presidency will adopt its high importance to the Jewish state and strengthen the position of Israel in the region and worldwide.

We’d like to assure you of the support of the Jewish state by the Jews of Eurasia, and we do hope the principle of "strong Diaspora — strong Israel" will continue to work for the Jews, no matter where they live.

We wish you good health and a lot of energy required to serve at this high position. We wish the People of Israel peace and prosperity”.
