Euro-Asian Jewish Congress PR Department Head Roman Spector took part in the international conference “Role of International Organizations in Solving the Kurdish Issue. A Model of Democratic Self-Government as an Alternative Way Out of the Syria Crisis.” The conference was held on the premises of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Federation Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Moscow.

Among those who took part in the conference were representatives of Russian state and community structures, leading experts on the Near and Middle East, community and political figures from FSU countries and journalists. The main speeches were given by the leader of “Democratic Union Party” Salih Muslim Muhammad (Syrian Kurdistan), deputy of the Great National Congress of Turkey from the Party of Peace and Democracy Adil Zozani, and representative of the Kurdistan National Congress Salahaddin Soro.

Roman Spector welcomed the efforts of the Kurdish people towards spiritual and cultural and noted that the Kurdish political structures of Syria and Iraq have demonstrated a high level of self-organization that gives a model for peaceful regulation.
