EAJC GC Chairman Visits USA

On April 24, the New York YIVO Institute held a panel discussion titled “Jews and the Ukrainian Revolution.” Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Council Chairman Josef Zisels and Professor of the Jewish Theological Seminary (New York) David Fishman. After the discussion, Josef Zisels answered many questions of the listeners.

On April 25, Josef Zisels held a briefing for the Governing Board of the UJA Federations of the USA on the situation of Ukrainian Jews in the conditions of an international conflict. On that same day, Josef Zisels participated and spoke at the meeting of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations with the delegation of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Daniil Lubkivsky. Josef Zisels also discussed the situation on the manifestations of anti-Semitism in Ukraine with Anti-Diffamation League Director of the International Affairs Division Michael A. Salberg.

On April 26, Josef Zisels spoke on the premises of the Ukrainian Museum of New York, speaking about the Ukrainian Jewish communities and manifestations of anti-Semitism.
