Happy Pesach!
14.04.2014, Region The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress wishes all Jews, wherever they may live, a happy Pesach - a most important festival for our ancient people! The Jewish people’s Exhodus from the Jews of Egypt was years ago, where they suffered under the tyranny of the pharaoh, and since then the memory of this event unites our people time and time again on this day through the feeling of the great road to freedom.
Generation after generation, the story of how we were slaves in Egypt and how the Almighty led us out with a strong hand has supported the spirit of the Jews and filled us with a light of hope. This was happened when the Jewish state was reborn after the nightmare of the Holocaust; this happened when the Jews of the USSR won their right to repatriate to their historical homeland and live by tradition; this is how it will be while the Jewish people exist.
And may today’s Pesach remind us all of the necessity of unity, of the necessity to stand together with the Jews in those regions where they are still under threat and need our support.
