The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) with pain and sadness learned about the anti-Semitic attack in Overland Park (Kansas City, USA). According to human rights organizations, the killer, who shot three people in the territory of the Jewish community structures, was a long-term activist of the racist "Ku Klux Klan." Special cynicism of this brutal crime is that it had been committed on the eve of the Jewish holiday of Pesach.

EAJC expresses its deepest condolences to families of victims and the entire Jewish community of Kansas City. EAJC is sure that the murderer will suffer deserved punishment, and his act will undergo public stigmatization.

The tragedy in Kansas City showed that anti-Semitism has not ceased to be a serious problem for the United States. EAJC hopes that the incident will force the American power structures to be more attentive to the speeches and actions of representatives of the ultra-right organizations and more strongly combat any attempts to promote racial and religious hatred.
