The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress presents its deepest condolences to Knesset Chairman Yuli-Yoel Edelstein on the passing of his wife.

Tatiana Edelstein died in her 64th year after a long illness. She had been an activist of the Soviet Aliyah Movement and a teacher of Hebrew until her repatriation to Israeli in 1987. Yuli-Yoel and Tatiana Edelstein had lived together for 33 years.

The letter that the EAJC leadership sent to Yuli-Yoel Edelstein reads: “The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress learned of the passing of your wife with great sadness. We give you our deepest condolences. Such a loss is unmitigable by our sympathy, but know that in these sad days our hearts and thoughts are with you. We mourn together with the family and friends of the deceased and pray to the Almighty for succour.”
