On January 17, 2013, the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Council held an electronic vote to validate Vadim Shulman's resignation from the position of EAJC President. The resignation was validated by a simple majority of 27 votes (with a quorum of 23). The vote had been unanimously in favor.

The second decision of the EAJC General Council was an unanimous confirmation of First EAJC Vice President as the Acting President of the Congress until February 16, 2013, which is the date of the next EAJC General Assembly.
