On January 9, 2013, the General Council of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) made the decision to grant the Jewish community of Montenegro membership in the EAJC. The Montenegro Jewish community will be represented in the EAJC General Council by its President, Jasha Alfandari.

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress’ heartfelt greetings go out to the new community and the EAJC hopes for a long and fruitful cooperation.

The Jewish community of Montenegro numbers approximately a thousand memebers. The EAJC website will soon publish information on the current state and history of the Montenegro Jewish community.
