On December 2, 2013, a working meeting took place in St. Petersburg between the Presidium of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress with a group of leaders of the aid fund for Jewish communities and inter-community projects in Eurasia. The group was lead by Julius Meinl. This fun was recently created by Meinl Bank, the largest private bank of Austria.

The leaders of the fund were given a report on how the first tranche of aid, provided by the fund in October 2013, was divided between the communities. The sides also discussed further cooperation and the main priorities for joint activities in 2014.
