From December 8 to 10, 2013, the first Cinema Forum “Handshake” will take place in Moscow with the support of the Moscow government. The forum is dedicated to tolerance and inter-ethnic relations in modern society and has been tied to the 100th anniversary of the Righteous Gentile Nikolai Kiselev. The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress PR Department provides informational aid to the Forum.

On December 6, before the opening of the event, a wreath-laying ceremony on Kiselev’s grave took place. Kiselev was a Russian guerilla warrior who risked his life during the Great Patriotric War to save over 200 Jews by taking them out of Nazi-occupied Belarus to safe territory.
