On October 21-23, the World Jewish Congress Executive Committee convened in Jerusalem. The leaders of the largest Jewish organization, uniting Jewish communities of over a hundred countries, discussed current problems in counteracting anti-Semitism and radical right extremism in Europe, problems of brit milah and shita in several countries, and a number of other concerns. The participants of the session adopted statements that would clarify the position of the leaders of world Jewry on these matters and more.

A representative delegation of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) participated in the Executive Committee session, including Secretary General Michael Chlenov, General Council Chairman Josef Zisels, Vice President Gabriel Mirilashvili, and EAJC General Council members Vladimir Kritzman and Guram Batiashvili. EAJC General Council member, expert in xenophobia Vyacheslav Likhachev participated in a meeting on national radicalism and anti-Semitism in Europe.

Earlier, Vladimir Kritzman and Guram Batiashvili had been elected WJC Vice Presidents at the XIV WJC Plenary Assembly, which had taken place in Budapest, in May 2013. Michael Chlenov and Josef Zisels have also been part of World Jewish Congress governing bodies previously.
