On October 20, 2013, commemorative ceremonies for the destruction of the Minsk ghetto, 70 years ago, took place in Minsk. The events were organized by the Union of Belarussian Jewish Organizations and Communities (SBEOO), led by Union Chairman, EAJC General Council member Leonid Levin.

 

Minsk hosted guests from many countries, including a representative delegation from the WJC headed by Ronald Lauder. A meeting was held before the beginning of the commemorative events, and the WJC delegation was greeted on behalf of the EAJC by General Council Chairman Josef Zisels.
