                  Seminar for Children’s Camp Counselors Takes Place in Georgia

                  On June 28-30, a seminar to select and prepare camp counselors for the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) project “Shorashim - Caucasus - 2013” was held in Bakuriani (Georgia). Out of the 20 participants of the seminar, three were from Ukraine, three from Azerbaijian, and the rest were from Georgia. The leader of the seminar and the project as a whole is the Director of the EAJC Shorashim Project, Dr. Natalia Bakulina.

                  On June 30, EAJC General Council Chairman Josef Zisels read a lecture on Jewish identity at the seminar.

                  The “Shorashim - Caucasus - 2013” camp is planned to be held in the second half of August in Bakuriani. It is planned to invite 60 Jewish children from Georgia and 40 from Azerbajian.

                  The EAJC partner in this project is the Jewish Cultural Center in Tbilisi, led by EAJC General Council Member Elena Berkovich.
