                  EAJC Representatives Meet Rabbi Andrew Baker

                  On April 16, the representatives of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress visited a reception held at the residence of the Ambassador of the USA to Ukraine John F. Tefft in honor of the visit of Rabbi andrew Baker, the Director of International Jewish Affairs of the American Jewish Committee and the Personal Representative of the OSCT Chairperson-in-Office on Combating Anti-Semitism.

                  The EAJC was represented by the following General Council members: The Director of the NaUKMA Center for the History and Study of Eastern European Jewry Leonid Finberg; Head Rabbi of the Progressive Judaism community, Dr. Alexander Dukhovny; Director of the Pan-Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies Dr. Anatoliy Podolsky; Head of the Anti-Semitism and Xenophobia Monitoring and Analysis Program Vyacheslav Likhachev.

                  During an informal exchange of opinions, EAJC General Council member Vyacheslav Likhachev, Ambassador of the USA to Ukraine John F. Tefft and Rabbi Andrew Baker talked about the anti-Semitism situation in Ukraine and the FSU in its entirety. The Ukrainian “Svoboda” party was discussed in the social and political context of Ukraine as a separate topic.
