On April 7th, a meeting took place in Ekaterinburg to commemorate Yom ha-Shoah, the Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day. The meeting was organized by the main Jewish groups of the city and region. A member of the EAJC General Council, the President of the Jewish National Cultural Autonomy of Sverdlovskaya Oblast', Mkihail Ostrach, participated in the event.

On April 8, a requiem evening timed to Yom ha-Shoah took place in the Moscow Nikitsky Gate Theater. The event was organized with the aid of the Embassy of Israel in the Russian Federation. Among those who participated in the conference were Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Secretary General Michael Chlenov and EAJC Moscow office Director Natalia Schmidt.
