On March 5, the Secretary General of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Michael Chlenov spoke at the memorial evening dedicated to the 60th year since the so-called “Doctor's Plot.” This memorial evening, organized by the Russian Jewish Congress, took place at the Memorial Synagogue on Poklonnaya Gora.

Among those who spoke at the memorial event were: member of of the Russian Jewish Congress Yuri Kanner; President of the Holocaust Foundation, member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Alla Gerber; founder of the Dynasty Foundation Dmitry Zimin; song author and singer Alexander Gorodnitsky; President of the International Union of Jews – Former Prisoners of Fascism, EAJC General Council member Ephic Gologorsky; head of the Shalom theater Alexander Levenbuk. The evening was hosted by writer and broadcast journalist Leonid Mlechin.

In his speech, Michael Chlenov noted that the “Doctor's plot” was one of the key moments in the post-war history of Russian Jewry, which had been definitive for the development of self-awareness in Russian Jewish and for the future of the Jewish community.
