On February 12-15, the 6th International Conference of Jewish Female Leaders “Bet-Deborah” took place in Vienna. The director of the Jewish women's organization Project Kesher, which is a part of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, member of the EAJC General Council Svetlana Yakimenko took part in this conference.

As Svetlana Yakimenko stressed in her report, “the topic of the conference, Tikkun Olam – the contribution of Jewish women to improvement of the world, is a good summary of the essence of Project Kesher's work.”

On February 15-17, the first Project Kesher seminar in North-Western Russia took place. 16 women from Pskov, Novgorod the Great and Velikiye Luki, who have never participated in Project Kesher's seminars, met to find out more about each other, to acquaint themselves with Project Kesher's programs, and to decide for themselves what is the woman's role in the community and society.

On February 17, a Project Kesher workshop on economic “literacy” was held in Kherson, Ukraine. Members of the “Haya” Jewish women's group, members of the local community, and members of other Jewish organizations took part in this project. The main goal of the workshop was to motivate the participating women to take personal responsibility for their financial health, as well as to show possibilities and resources to improve their financial situation.
