                  EAJC President Participates in Meeting of Jewish Leaders with President of France

                  The President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Vadim Shulman has taken part in a diplomatic mission of the leaders of major American Jewish organization, which has held a working meeting with the President of France, François Hollande.

                  The delegation of the Jewish diaspora leaders was headed by Ronald Lauder, the President of the World Jewish Congress. The WJC leader was decorated with the Legion of Honor award by the President of France.

                  Among other participants of the delegation were the President of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations Richard Stone, their Executive Vice Chairman Malcolm Hoenlein, and the NCSJ President Alexander Shmukler and NCSJ Executive Director Mark Levin. EAJC Secretary General Michael Chlenov also visited France during these days.

                  Among the questions discussed by the Jewish leaders and the government of France was the official recognition of Hezbollah as a terrorist organization. On February 10, the delegation of leaders of major American Jewish organizations departed for Israel to continue their mission and to meet with representatives of the Israeli government. Michael Chlenov also joined the delegation in Israel.
