The Secretary General of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, Professor Michael Chlenov, has participated in the opening ceremony of the 20th Annual International Jewish Studies Conference, which is taking place on February 3-5 in the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center in Moscow. As always, the conference was organized by the Sepher Center for University Teaching of Jewish Civilization, which is a part of the EAJC.

Michael Chlenov, the leader of Sepher's Academic Board, spoke at the plenary meeting. His talk was titled “Jewish Autonomism: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow?”

As Professor Chlenov stressed, “Providing diverse support for Jewish Studies academic projects has been an important part of the EAJC's work and, hopefully, this will remain the same in the future. Any positive and negative national experience in all possible spheres should be studied and analyzed. It is obvious that without knowledge of the past, the future of Jews, wherever they may live, cannot be built. In the end, this is one of the main tasks that the Congress sets before itself.”
