                  Jewish Community of Turkey Elects New President

                  Presidential elections have taken place in the Jewish community of Turkey, which has observer status in the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress. Sami Herman has finished his three-year tour of duty as the head of the community, and the newly elected President is Ishak Ibrahimzadeh. The Vice Presidents are Josef Nassi and Gina Alkas, the Executive Vice President is Morsi Levi.

                  The letter to the EAJC which imparted the results of the elections read as follows: “The new leadership of the Jewish community of Turkey hopes to continue our joint work. We are determined to develop fruitful relationships with all our friends and colleagues in the Jewish world.”
