Euro-Asian Jewish Congress congratulates all Jews, wherever they may live, with Hanukkah, the festival of freedom and light!
For eight days, we will celebrate the victory, won by the Jews under the leadership of the Maccabees of the heathen, who hated and oppressed them. For eight days, we will light candles in memory of the great miracle granted to the Jews for their faith and courage.
Today haters are attacking the Jews and the Jewish state again by power and word. But Hanukkah is the holiday of hope. Hanukkah reminds us that the miracle can happen even in the darkest days. And we hope that, like thousands of years ago, spirit and truth prevail over hatred and lies. We hope that the darkness will dissipate and the People of Israel will remain in peace and prosperity.
