EAJC General Council Member Participates in Rally in Support of Israel

Euro-Asian Jewish Congress General Council member Guram Batiashvili has taken part in a rally in support of Israel, which took place near a synagogue in old Tbilisi. The rally, which had over 250 participants, was organized at the initiative of the “Dobriy Fond” organization. The invitation for the rally proposed to “support and encourage Israel with Jewish songs.”

As Guram Batiashvili notes, “This pro-Israel rally in the center of Tbilisi became a hefty confirmation of the 26-century-old friendship between the Jewish and the Georgian peoples. The people unfurled red and white Georgian flags and the white and blue flags of Israel, people sang Jewish songs – the whole event left behind a feeling of warmth and kindness. We hope that this feeling will be transmitted to our brothers in Israel, to whom we wish peace and serenity.”
