                  Rosh-ha-Shana in Moscow's “Ukraine”

                  Members of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) leadership have taken part in a Rosh-ha-Shana gala organized by the Russian Jewish Congress (RJC) in the Moscow Radisson Ukraine hotel. The guests of the meeting included EAJC Vice President, businessmen Merab Elahvili and David Jacobashvili, EAJC Secretary General Michael Chlenov, General Council Chairman Josef Zisels, General Council member, entrepreneur German Zakharyev.

                  The guests of the event included many well-known faces – representatives of the political, creative, and business elite of Russia, including Deputy Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Mikhail Bogdanov, Ambassador of Israel to the Russian Federation Dorit Golender, People's Artist of Russia Tamara Gverdziteli, theatre directors Josef Raichelgauz and Alexander Levenbuk, poets Andrei Dementyev and Vladimir Vyshnevsky, actors Emmanuil Vitorgan, Yuliya Rutberg, Klara Novikova and Leonid Kanevsky, writer Michael Weller, journalists Evgeniya Albatz and Segey Parhomenko, archpriest Vesvolod Chaplin, rabbis Pinchas Goldshmidt and Dovid Karpov, and prominent entrepreneur Boris Belotserkovsky and Yuri Zelvensky. The evening was hosted by Yulianna Shahnova and Leonid Yakoubovich.

                  The theme of the even was the city of Jerusalem, and the guest of honor was the Mayor of the Israeli capital, Nir Barkat.
