Euro-Asian Jewish Congress wishes everyone a good and sweet year!

                  14.09.2012

                  Dear friends!
Another year goes back, not an easy year for the Jewish people. This year has once again sounded the threats and unfair accusations against the Jewish state, again the bloody acts of terrorism committed against the Jews — in Israel and in the Diaspora, and again anti-Semitic and anti-Israel rhetoric used in political games. At the same time, it was a year of active Jewish life, highlights and substantial achievements.
For our Congress this year was also difficult. In place of the President, who held the position for ten years, came a new leader. The new President together with the EAJC activists has to wage a difficult job for the further development of the Congress.
Following the established rate and developing new initiatives, which are dictated by the challenges of a changing world, we should make every effort to broaden and deepen the solidarity of the Jewish communities of our region with the Jewish state, to give Israel full support in its fight against international terrorism and various forms of delegitimization.
Our support of traditional, educational, cultural and scientific life of the Jewish communities in the region needs to fill with new content. Thus saving Jewish life in the Diaspora requires additional efforts to attract Jewish youth to actively participate in community life.
We hope that the coming year will allow us and all of you to implement our plans and to complete what needs to close.
We wish all Jews, wherever they may live, peace, happiness and prosperity.
                  Good and sweet year!
                  Shana Tova Umetuka!
