As part of a working visit to Almaty, the Director General of the Ministry of Information and Diaspora of the State of Israel, Ronen Plot, accompanied by Israel Mei-Ami, Ambassador of Israel to Kazakstan, visited the Rimon Community Center. The guests from Israel were received by Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Presidium Member, President of the Mitzvah Association of Jewish Organizations of Israel Alexander Baron. The guests were presented with an overview of the work of local Jewish organizations, and a discussion of joint projects between the Israeli Ministry of Information and Diaspora and the Republic of Kazakhstan were discussed.

Alexander Baron and the Director of the Almaty chesed Inessa Chugainova introduced the guests to the charity work and the Rimon community center. The work of the Moris Simashko Republican Public Library and its projects were presented separately.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel in the Republic of Kazakhstan Israel Mei-Ami В awarded Alexander Baron with an honorary certificate “For substantial input into the successful development of a two-way relationship between countries.”
