                  EAJC Representatives Participate in Opening of Netanya Memorial

                  On the evening of June 25, an official reception took place in the residence of the President of the State of Israel in Jerusalem for the opening of the Netanya memorial to the warriors of the Red Army. A representative delegation of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, led by Congress President Vadim Shulman and including EAJC Vice Presidents Michael Mirilashvili, Gabriel Mirilashvili, David Jacobashvili, and Deputy Secretary General, EAJC representative in Israel Haim ben Yakov.

                  In his address at the reception, President of Israel Shimon Peres spoke about the necessity of a more active Russian participation in the regulation of Near East conflicts, as well as of the necessity of supporting and developing the traditional cultural ties between Israel and Russia.
