On April 19th, the Almaty Jewish Community Center held, with the aid of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, a mourning ceremony for the victims of the Holocaust. Over 40 people came to honor the memory of the victims of the Catastrophe.

The President of the Mitzvah Association of Kazakhstan Jewish Organizations, EAJC General Council member Alexander Baron noted in his speech that the Catastrophe has touched every Jew in some way. “This is a personal tragedy for each of us,” he said when opening the ceremony.
