                  EAJC Delegation Participates in WJC Executive Committee Session

                  Acting President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Vadmi Shulman, EAJC Vice President Mark Shabad, and EAJC Secretary General Michael Chlenov took part in a session of the World Jewish Congress Executive Committee that took place in New York.

                  The session included discussion of WJC current activity, as well as the most pressing matters of the survival of the Jewish state and the Jewish communities of the Diaspora, in particular, the Iranian nuclear threat and the Toulouse tragedy. Michael Chlenov spoke at the session on current important events in Eurasian Jewish communities of the Congress, from the biggest to the smallest.

                  The visit of the EAJC delegation also included the first meeting of the WJC leadership with EAJC Acting President Vadim Shulman. WJC President Ronald Lauder and Vice Presidents Dan Diker and Maram Stern took part in the meeting, which involved discussion of developing cooperation between the WJC and the EAJC.

                  A working meeting between Mark Shabad, Michael Chlenov and the leaders of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations – its President Richard Stone and Executive Vice President Malcolm Hoenlein. The meeting involved a discussion of the possibilities of deeper cooperation between the Conference of Presidents and the EAJC, which are long-term strategic partners.
