EAJC Statement on Toulouse Terroristic Attack
19.03.2012 It is with pain and anger that the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress learns about the terroristic attack near a Jewish school in Toulouse. The merciless killer murdered a young teacher and three children, and one more teenager was heavily wounded. All of those who died were Israelis.
It is especially infuriating that the terrorist attacked children. Whether this crime had an anti-Semitic basis or whether it was just the act of a person who for some reason placed himself in opposition to society, it is unforgivable.
In these tragic hours, we stand together with the Jewish community of France and the Jewish state. We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of those who died at the terrorists' hands. We are hoping that the killer is found and is subjected to an appropriate punishment.
