The World Congress of Jews of Georgia (WCJG), led by its President, the Vice President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Gabriel Mirilashvili has organized a meeting between the representatives of the Georgian Jewish community with the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II, who visited the Jewish State with a group of pilgrlims.

Among those who held meeting with the head of the Georgian Church and the WCJG were President of Israel Shimon Peres and Knesset Chairman Reuven Rivlin. At the initiative of the WCJG, a meeting between the Catholicos-Patriarch and the Head Rabbis of Israel Yona Metzger and Shlomo Amar were also organized. EAJC Deputy Secretary General Haim Ben Yakov participated in the events organized by the EAJC.
