                  EAJC General Council Member Reads Lectures in Simferopol

                  On February 21-22, EAJC General Council member Vyacheslav Likhachev visited the city of Simferopol in the Crimea with a series of lectures. The lectures, read at the History and Philosophy Department of the Vernadsky Tauric National University, were dedicated to different aspects of Jewish Studies, in particular to the Jewish history of the Crimea.

                  The EAJC General Council member also read public lectures on xenophobia and national-extremism both in the university and the "Ukrop" Educational Center, and also gave an interview to the local TV channels. The discussion and lectures in the "Ukrop" center were organized by the Regional Initiatives Foundation,

                  Vyachelav Likhachev's visit to the Crimea was made possible with the aid of the Sefer Center for academic Jewish Studies, which is a part of the EAJC.
