On January 26-29, the informal winter Jewish youth seminar ‘Winter–U 2012 Ukraine: Ski Time – Party time’ took place in Slavske (a ski resort in Lviv Oblast, in the west of Ukraine), which was organized by the Ukrainian Union of Jewish Students. Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Chairman Josef Zisels actively participated in the seminar’s work.

Over the course of four days, representatives of Jewish communities socialized, studied, pondered various issues, and engaged in winter sports together. The participants of the seminar also visited the Jewish sites of the Ukrainian Galitsiya – the city of Lviv, famous for its rich Jewish history.

The EAJC General Council member read several lectures on Jewish identity and Ukrainian-Jewish relations to the participants of the event. He also participated in a round table on youth Jewish activity in the Euro-Asian Region. Zisels also led a skiing lesson for those who were new to the sport.
