On December 22, a round table took place in Simferopol (the administrative center of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Ukraine). The round table was titled “Processes of coordinating law enforcement, executive authorities, self-government bodies, and civil organizations in counteracting intolerance in Ukrainian society.”

The round table was held by the Kyiv Independent Center for Political Research and the Simferopol Informational and Research Center “Integration and Development” as part of the project titled “Administrating interethnic relations in the Crimea through increasing the role of the public prosecution office in counteracting manifestations of intolerance in society.” Representatives of the local executive authorities, public prosecution office, and law enforcement all participated in the round table. Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) General Council member Vyacheslav Likhachev gave a report on hate crimes and the specifics of law enforcement work with this type of crime. The EAJC General Council member also cited data from the EAJC report on manifestations of xenophobia in Ukraine.
Vyacheslav Likhachev also read a lecture on xenophobia and right-wing radicalism in the Tauric National University.
