                  24.11.2011

The famous businessman and philanthropist Vadim Shulman has been unanimously confirmed as the Acting Director of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress at the EAJC General Council session taking place in the Jerusalem hotel “Citadel of David.”

EAJC General Council Chairman Josef Zisels presented Vadim Shulman to the participants of the session. Shulman's candidature was recommended by his predecessor, the long-time leader of the Congress Alexander Mashkevich, and after a series of negotiations it was approved by the founding organizations of the EAJC. Shulman could not be present at the session personally as he is currently in mourning for his mother. He participated in the session through Skype, by means of which he presented his vision of the Congress' further activity and answered a number of questions.

The participants of the session were shown fragments of the film on international terrorism and radical Islamism “Has the Third World War Already Begun?”, which was co-produced by Vadim Shulman.

Vadim Shulman's address, in particular, read: “If you will trust me to lead the Congress, I will do everything within my power to preserve what the Congress is already doing today, and at the same time I will try to give a new impulse to those directions of activity which will bring EAJC priorities into even sharper focus.”
