On September 4, the Moscow office of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) hosted a meeting between the EAJC Secretary General, Professor Michael Chlenov, and the leaders of the Annual Herzliyah Conference – its President, General Danny Rotschield and Director Michael (Miki) Altar.

The leaders of the conference came to Russia at the invitation of the Russian-Israeli Cooperation Forum for the participation in the worldwide political forum "The Modern State in an Age of Social Diversity," which is to take place in Yaroslavl under the aegis of the President of Russia.

The EAJC meeting saw a discussion on the preparation of the newest Herzliyah conference in the series, which is to open on January 30, in particular – the aid of the Congress in organizing the forum and in attracting members of the Russian political elite to it.

There was also a discussion of the Russian Israeli Cooperation Forum activity program. The EAJC Secretary General is part of the Forum's Coordination Council.

As professor Michael Chlenov noted at the end of the meeting, "The Herzliyah forum is a most important platform, where current burning questions for both the State of Israel and the Jewish people are discussed at a high representational and professional level, This is a kind of Jewish Davos, and participation in it in all forms and formats is very important for the EAJC. We try to use our capabilities to the maximum for the connection of the Israeli political elite with the elites of the countries our Congress works in."
