Noah Flug Obituary
16.08.2011 It is with great grief that the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress learned the news of the death of Noah Flug, an important advocate of the rights of Holocaust survivors.
A participant of the Lodz ghetto underground, prisoner of three Nazi concentration camps, including Auschwitz, and dedicated his entire life after being freed to defend the rights of those who were able to surivive in the fire of the Catastrophe. He did everything within his power to provide them with a dignified life.
He had extremely high authority. He held the position of the Chairman of the Holocaust Survivor Center of Organization of Holocaust Survivors, the Vice President of the Claims Conference, President of the International Auschwitz Committee, and so on. He had been given the highest award of the Federal Republic of Germany for his contribution to the understanding between the Jewish and German peoples, as well as Germany and Israel.
The EAJC Presidium would like to give its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Noah Flug. We will keep the memory of this distinguished person shall remain within our hearts,
