On the 26th of May, a working meeting took place between the Secretary General of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), Professor Michael Chlenov, and the personal representative of the current OSCE chairman on combating anti-Semitism, member of the leadership of the American Jewish Committee, Rabbi Andrew Baker.

During their visit, a number of moments concerning the effects of the Jackson-Vanick amendment in modern circumstances were discussed. The possibility of joint monitoring of the current anti-Semitism situation in post-Soviet territory was also discussed.

The sides exchanged opinions on the challenges before the Jewish state today in connection with the changes in neighboring Arabic countries and the polemic between USA President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Bejamin Netanyahu on the return of Israel to the borders of 1967.

At the end of the meeting, both sides confirmed their dedication to cooperating as partners. As Professor Chlenov noted, "Work with the OSCE on different topics, first and foremost on counteracting anti-Semitism and the delegitimization of the Jewish state, is one of the most important parts of the wide spected of EAJC interactions with the main European institutions."
