The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) has made a statement in connection with the terrorist attack in the Minsk metro station. The statement, signed by EAJC President Alexander Mashkevich, Secretary General Michael Chlenov, and General Council Chairman Joseph Zisels, reads as follows: “The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress expresses solidarity with the people and government of Belarus, which has become yet another object for terrorist attack. The brutal act of terrorism in the Minsk metro station, which has resulted in numerous human casualties, has once again shown that terrorism is a threat common to all mankind, that terror knows no boundaries.

We strongly condemn this new crime of terrorists and declare that terrorism can have neither any excuses nor political prospects. We express our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. We hope that the perpetrators of this inhuman crime will be soon found and will suffer just punishment."
