The President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) Alexander Mashkevich has made a working visit to the Republic of Guinea. The visit including a meeting with Guinea President Alpha Conde in Conakry, the capital of Guinea, during which the two leaders discussed a number of business and humanitarian questions.

Alexander Mashkevich, whose business interests spread to a number of African countries, is also active in charity on that continent, by supporting various educational and health projects. For his participation in multifaceted humanitarian activity in Africa, the South African non-governmental organization Ма Afrika Tikkun presented the EAJC President with their Angel Award, the highest award of the organization.

"I am certain that African countries on the path of democratic development are headed for a bountiful and stable future. And I am ready to aid their economic and social development in any way I can. Right now I am speaking not only as a representative of the business world, but as a Jewish leader who wants the world in which we live to be better and more comfortable," said Mashkevich to journalists after the meeting.
