After its visit to Greece, the joint Jewish diplomatic mission has traditionally returned to Israel. The mission includes representatives of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC), as well as a number of American Jewish structures, including long-term EAJC partner, the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. The mission visited a number of places that are considered unsafe, in particular, on the borders with Syria and Lebanon.

One of the leaders of the mission, Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Secretary General, Professor Michael Chlenov, took part in honoring the recently retired Chief of General Staff, General Gabi Askhenazi, and Head of the Israel Military Intelligence Directorate Amos Yadlin.

When presenting the generals with memorial gifts on behald of the mission, the EAJC Secretary General expressed deep gratitude on behald of the Jews of the Diaspora, and remembered of how in the relatively recent past, the Soviet Jews lived with a feeling of the Israel army defending them, as well, and how they took every victory or defeat close to their hearts in 1973, of how they rejoiced during Operation Entebbe.
