EAJC Statement on Domodedovo Terroristic Act

                  24.01.2011

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) has received the news of the terroristic act in the Moscow airport Domodedovo with deep pain and anger.

The decisive EAJC position is that terror, regardless of the proclaimed motives of the terrorists, can have no justification. There is only one name for those who kill innocent people – muderers. The global community must take an irreconcilable stance on this.

We express our solidarity to the government and people of Russia, and wish them courage and wisdom in this difficult moment. We deeply feel for the familt and friends of those who have died because of this inhumane crime. We wish the victims a speedy recovery and rehabilitation.

EAJC is certain that the law-enforcement agencies of Russia will do everything within their power so that the authors and perpetrators of this cruel crime will be found and suffer a deserving punishment.

                  Alexander Mashkevich, EAJC President

                  Michael Chlenov, EAJC Secretary General

Josef Zisels, EAJC General Council Chairman
